Work I have built and still maintain. The Durga Puja guide is the one you can open right now.
Festive Kolkata — durgapuja.sahasandco.in
A free guide to Durga Puja in Kolkata and West Bengal, published each year. The 2026 edition covers 210 pandals with their announced themes, the nearest metro station and walking distance for each, bus corridors, crowd timings by hour, nearby restaurants and public toilets.
Built as a progressive web app: it installs on a phone, holds all its data locally and keeps working when the mobile network gives up in a crowd — which, during Pujo, it does.
| Pandals | 210 across Kolkata, Howrah, the suburbs and the districts |
|---|---|
| Languages | Bengali, English, Hindi |
| Built with | A single static HTML file, a service worker, no framework |
| Data | Compiled from committee announcements and press reports, verified before publishing |
Why this one is public
Most client work sits behind a login or an NDA, which makes for a thin portfolio. Festive Kolkata is the opposite: it is free, it is open to anyone, and it demonstrates the things I would otherwise have to describe — speed on a weak connection, offline behaviour, multilingual content, structured data, and a design that survives a 5-inch screen in daylight.
Working on something similar?
Directories, festival or event guides, local listings, anything with a map and a lot of rows — this is the shape of project I enjoy most and can move fastest on.
